Rubén Peralta-Rigaud was born in Santo Domingo in 1980. A medical doctor by profession and a film critic, he hosted a daily radio program called Cineasta Radio for three years with Don Armando Almanzar, a pioneer of film critique in Latin America. Peralta-Rigaud has been a contributor to the print magazine Cineasta since 2010 and editor/writer of the cocalecas portal since 2004.
